On 'Live With Regis and Kelly' (weekdays, syndicated), Regis Philbin amuses Ashley Tisdale to no end when he confuses her new role as a cheerleader in 'Hellcats' with marching band color guard, asking if she learned how to toss a baton for the comedy-drama series.

"Did you have to learn how to throw those things around for the role?" asked Philbin, twirling his hand in the gesture meant to indicate a baton.

"Throw what things?" Tisdale laughed.

"Batons!" Philbin said emphatically, as if yelling would help cut through the confusion. "Don't they have batons?"
