'America's Got Talent': Final 4 Revealed (VIDEO)

by Aimee Deeken, posted Sep 9th 2010 5:23AM
Prince Poppycock Named to Final 4 on 'America's Got Talent'On 'America's Got Talent' (Wed., 9PM ET on NBC), host Nick Cannon had some great news to reveal -- but quite a lot of bad news to lead us through as well. Let's start on a high note: The first act that made it to the season's final four: Prince Poppycock.

The performer had a message for the nation's ridiculed children. "I want to say to every kid out there that feels picked on and feels like an outsider: I want you to believe that life is magical, and I want you to look at me right now and understand that dreams can come true."

Check out the other winners -- and Howie Mandel's comforting words to a losing act -- in the video. Did your fave make it to the finale?

PRINCE POPPYCOCK ripped a page from the LIBERACE showbook and his career in Las Vegas will soar. Few people understand why LIBERACE was a sensation. He was NOT a great pianist or singer but relished the spotlight and honestly enjoyed entertaining ... a great crowd-pleaser ... Mr. Showmanship. Unfortunately, he had to hide his 'gayness' from the public. My guess? The Prince will add humor to his act as he continues his creative climb to the top. It doesn't matter if he is gay or fails to win America Has Talent ... he IS the new Mr. Showmanship and will jam any Vegas Casino.

I was pleased withn the final four except for Mr. Cannon. He is a passable singer but not technically great.I would have preferred to see the young dancing couple or even Mr. Grasso, the magician. Poppycock is an entertainer and while I would not pay to see his act, I believe there is a place in Las Vegas for him. I would see him in a musical if the musical was not too off-beat. There is acceptance by far too many for porn and violence in the entertainment business. We can certainly accept an act like Prince Poppycock.

I do wonder what ever happened to the other winners. One does not hear much about them.

Good luck to all.

To be honest I was shocked to see who made it into the top ten, there were many more performances that warrented more. For example as much as I found the sisters endearing/cute etc. they were not as good as others were.

Such a shame Michael Grasso didn't get in. Wish him the best of luck and a great future. They should of had 5 in final as the others deserve to be there as well.

I love America's Got Talent. I have voted for my favorites every week. I wish someone had told me that I was supposed to factor in the sexual orientation of performer before I cast my vote. This changes EVERYTHING! Do I vote for Jackie Evancko next week even though I don't know whether she will become a lesbian in the future? If the notion that 10% of Americans are gay then there is a HUGE chance that one or more members of Fighting Gravity is homosexual. OMG! I really wanted them to be the first runner up!
This show is not, "America's got Heterosexual Talent". It is, "America's got Talent". I voted for the act that I thought was truly the most original, most entertaining. It seems to me that there is one act that understands that the judges are looking for an act that will draw a crowd, that is colorful, energetic, fun, and has WOW factor. It is a shame a lot of Americans on this page will dismiss a tremendous performer becuase you think he is gay. You know, HATE really doesn't go with those shoes.
PS GO POPPYCOCK!!!!!! I have voted for you every week. I will vote for you next week, and I truly hope you win. Whether you win the Final, I will buy tickets to your show. You are a phenomonal act both professionally and personally. Your message to the kids last night cemented you in my Hall of Fame. Thank you, Poppycock. You truly are a Prince.

I think the 4 finalists are awesome, and it will be hard to choose among the four. They are all great talents!

However, I think there were acts passed over that shouldn't have been. I think that singers should be left to a show for singers, like American Idol. OR, why not have an America's Got Talent singing competition that is separate. The true Vegas acts were voted out...the magicians.

I also don't think children should be in what should be an adult competition. Have a young age group competition. I mean, there were 3 amazing children in the Top Ten! It's not fair to the adults or the children.

Last year some no talent hillbilly won the competition over a woman with the voice of an angel. Can a 10 year old girl be a Vegas act? This girl should be on stage in an opera (or several operas), not Vegas.

I love them all, but I'm also sad that Michael Grasso was eliminated. He was awesome.

I feel the same way. Two things need to be considered: (1) Age groups and (2) Target audience -- Vegas.
While Jackie seems to have the most talent, she would be better on Broadway than in Vegas. Personally, I think the "Defying Gravity" act is the best one for all groups.

I wish someone would tell Nick and Sharon to stop saying "I mean" every couple of words. They are driving me crazy with it. Nick starts out way too many of his sentences with it.

As to who should win, Jackie undoubtedly is the most talented but does not belong in Vegas. PP and Gravity are DEFINITELY good Vegas shows and I'd love to see them both win. Michael is like Jackie, he'll be successful whether he wins or not, he's got a great style.

And those of you who say Michael Grasso should have been in the final four, no way. That level magician are a dime a dozen. All you need is enough money to purchase the 'trick' and then have the showmanship to execute it.

For those that seem to not pay attention, there is NO Vegas headline show for the winner. They get to play ONE show there along with the other top 10 performers. They also get 1 mil. spread out over 20 yrs.

I want Michael Grimm to win! Terrific voice, already looks like a star! Actually, Jackie is the best talent - she's amazing and has a great career ahead no matter what, but can't see her in Vegas. I don't know why the Gravity bunch is in the top 10. I just don't get what it is they do. I can see why some people would find Poppycock entertaining. Not me. (Taylor Mathews is really cute and talented, but maybe needs more experience.) So, good luck to all, but if Michael has a good performance next week I think he will win!
