Katie Couric Talks World Cup Fun with Bill Clinton, Mick Jagger (VIDEO)

by Aimee Deeken, posted Sep 10th 2010 6:25AM
Katie Couric Shares World Cup on 'Tonight'Katie Couric got to hang out with the cool kids at the World Cup -- namely Bill Clinton and Mick Jagger. Clinton had an extra ticket for the U.S. vs. Ghana match and invited her along -- via police escort and private jet to Johannesburg. Oh, and CNN journalist Wolf Blitzer was there as well, she explained on 'The Tonight Show' (weeknights, 11:35PM ET on NBC).

Couric was practically gushing when she told the story and shared photos. "It looks like two creepy old guys picked up a young girl," joked Jay Leno of the photo of Couric sandwiched between Blitzer and Clinton.

Couric already felt like she was "livin' large" -- and then Jagger strolled in. That was the icing on the cake -- until an awkward moment with the rocker.

Hey Dr_Venkman, I know how the word ,Grammar, is spelled. That word was intentionally mispelled. Do you know if this word is spelled correctly?---MORON

I really really dislike this supposed journalist who reveals her bias during every interview...she attacked Sara Palin like a piaranna on fresh meat, she sweet talks Obama instead of asking the tough questions, she kisses up to Bill Clinton the disgraced impeached president..bad mouths Bush (who sleeps with his own wife at night) shes a dog

Since when is it an attack to ask straight forward legitimate questions of a Vice Presidential nominee like "What newspapers do you read?" or "In what way are you qualified in national security or foreign affairs?" You call that an attack? Those are softball questions. Your bias is showing and it isn't flattering.

No she needs to ask the tough questions to everyone not just the conservative being interviewed. I want someone to ask Obama what happened to promised transparency what about raising taxes who are these czars and what is your former relationship with them... how do you know bill aires and bernadette dorn ....

Enough Already

Katie should stick to the puff pieces - she is not a news journalist.

I've never seen a more self consumed woman in my life. She thinks she's so clever and funny, the crowd was yawning so much and turned off by her that she asked the audiance if they were asleep. I truly had a physical reaction to her "hobb nobb" stories...I wanted to puke.

The only reason to watch Katie Couric is her legs, and even then you better mute the TV. Just trying to help!

Her legs? They're flabby and her knees are all knotty. She doesn't wear hose...she is one woman who SHOULD wear pant suits.

What is with America's education? Listen Katie and all the rest; when your speaking about someone else's conversation to you or anyone else, You don't say, 'he/she Goes'. You say, 'he/she said to me...etc.'. When one is speaking to another they aren't 'Goes' they are 'Saying'. Not only do our schools need teachers to teach better grammer, we need tv anchors, public figures and celebrities to speak to us with better grammer.
