A ghost is haunting the chief of police on 'The Gates' (Sun., 10PM ET on ABC). Nick Monahan killed a man years ago, and now the victim's sister's ghost wants revenge.

Nick discovers (too late) that the ghost has possessed his wife Sarah. When she swiftly kills another cop, Nick almost shoots her -- but he'd be killing his wife in the process. He starts to break down.

"I never stopped thinking about your brother ... It's haunted me ever since I did it," Nick pleads. "He didn't deserve to die -- not by my hand ... I'm sorry I did it. And I'm sorry that he died. I'm sorry you lost your life because of it."

The ghost/Sarah is crying. Nick points the gun at his own head. Does he pull the trigger?
