Bill O'Reilly Sounds Off On His Mixed Feelings About The Tea Party Movement (VIDEO)

by Jeremy Taylor, posted Sep 14th 2010 3:05PM
Bill O'Reilly was on 'Good Morning America' (weekdays, 7AM ET on ABC) Tuesday to promote his book 'Pinheads and Patriots.' The Fox News personality discussed with George Stephanopoulos his opinion of the Tea Party movement.

"I say in 'Pinheads and Patriots' that the Tea Party are primarily patriots because they go out and tell people what they believe and they get involved -- that's patriotic," O'Reilly said. "I don't care really what your ideology is, if you are out there and you are sincere and you are telling people 'This the way I see my country and I want to improve it,' you're a patriot."

However, there was a "however." O'Reilly cautioned Tea-Partiers that buying into Obama birtherism and personal attacks against the President could hurt their core message.

"If the tea party people basically attack President Obama personally that diminishes their movement," O'Reilly argued. "If they say he's a Muslim if they say he was born in -- where -- Indonesia, this really hurts their overall message of 'Get off our back.'"
