EXCLUSIVE! Misha Collins Talks 'Supernatural' Spoilers and Never-Before-Seen Photo

by Laura Prudom, posted Sep 14th 2010 3:00PM
Misha CollinsLast week, TV Squad caught up with 'Supernatural' star Misha Collins to talk about his new charity, Random Acts, a collective of fans, volunteers and all-around good people who are trying to make the world a better place.

Since then, Collins has successfully completed his marathon, running a total of 83 kilometers (a staggering 52 miles) to raise money for Random Acts' various projects, including helping those affected by the recent disasters in Haiti and Pakistan. The effort has currently amassed over $75,000, with the final total expected to be closer to $100,000.

But when Collins isn't saving the world, he has a day job to go back to, playing the role of the angel Castiel on 'Supernatural,' and when we last spoke at Creation Entertainment's Salute to Supernatural convention, we couldn't resist grabbing some spoilers from everyone's favorite heavenly helper on what we can expect from the new season (premiering Sept. 24 at 9PM on the CW).

Join us after the jump for a spoilery video and an exclusive, never before seen photo of Collins that you won't find anywhere else.

Any 'Supernatural' fan worth their rock salt is well aware that trying to get spoilers out of Collins (or any of the show's enigmatic cast-members, for that matter) is akin to getting a straight answer out of Crowley, but after some typical misdirection and one very naughty word, Collins finally spilled a spoiler that was, in his words, both "juicy" and "huge." Watch the video below and decide whether you agree. (Beware: Language in the video is not suitable for minors.)

Spoilers below!

Now, we're not about to condone vandalism, but we've got to admit that we're on Castiel's side here -- 'Supernatural' is only big enough for one muscle car, and the Impala is pretty much the most iconic TV vehicle since KITT and the General Lee, right?

Add to that the spoiler we got from showrunner Sera Gamble last month revealing that the Impala would be under tarp and feeling neglected at the start of season 6, and the beginning of the new year is starting to sound pretty cruel for fans of Dean's "baby."

But how and why does Cas decide to Hulk out on Sam's new ride? Collins wouldn't tell me, but he didn't seem to have a problem later telling TVOvermind that Castiel "gets to crush Sam's car with his body as a projectile." Sounds more accidental than malicious, to us.

Could this have something to do with the spoilery set photos we've seen floating around, the ones that seem to imply that Castiel and a mysterious assailant take a nosedive out of a window whilst the Winchester brothers look on? Guess we'll have to wait until episode three to find out for sure. Check out the newly released, full promo for the show's sixth season to get those Winchester senses tingling (first posted by EW):

But that's not all, folks! Since we still have an agonizing week and a half to wait until the 'Supernatural' season 6 premiere, we felt it was only right to give the show's loyal fans an extra treat. It's not quite a new clip or an extra slice of Sam and Dean, but we hope it might help to sate your 'SPN' cravings for a little while longer.

Late last year, while this intrepid reporter was working at a (now tragically defunct) fashion magazine, I organized a photoshoot with Collins and a supremely talented L.A.-based photographer named Simon Cardoza. Sadly, the magazine closed and the stunning photographs never saw the light of day, until now.

Thanks to Collins and Cardoza, TV Squad was granted exclusive access to feature one of these pictures for the fans. Though efforts are still being made to someday present the shoot in the medium for which it was intended, we hope that, for now, you will enjoy this gorgeous shot of Collins as much as we did -- if you ask us, there's a new CW cover guy in town. Please do not edit or repost the picture without permission, and respect the photographer's credit!

I met Mark Sheppard (Crowley) at D*Con recently, super nice guy by the way, and he was extremely excited about the upcoming season of Supernatural. I don't know if I've ever seen an actor with as big a twinkle in their eye when they talk about their show. I have a good feeling about things to come.

(He also mentioned he'd be back on Leverage next season, FYI.)

"What do you think of Collins' model turn?"
-I'm still trying to remember what Oxygen feels like.

"Are you looking forward to seeing Castiel destroying Sam's car?"
-Um, Yes. I'm looking forward to seeing Castiel just standing there breathing. Anything he does in addition to that is a bonus.

That's a really gorgeous photo of Misha. Thank you so much, Laura, for posting at least one photo from this photoshoot; I just wish that the others would come out at some point too!

Gorgeous, gorgeous photo of Misha Collins. Thanks so much Laura for interviewing Misha. I've been a little disappointed by the lack of spoilers regarding Cas' role in the new season so far and fear I'm not going to see enough of him so any information about my favorite angel is always appreciated. And I hope that photo shoot does eventually see the light of day as more leather clad Misha is a great thing!
