by Donald Deane, posted Sep 14th 2010 12:00PM
At the 2010 U.S. Open (Mon, 4PM ET on CBS, ESPN2), Rafael Nadal beat Novak Djokovic in four sets, winning his first-ever U.S. Open title, and becoming only the seventh man in history to complete a career grand slam.

The 24-year-old Nadal battled against third-seeded Djokovic for nearly three-and-a-half hours after a rain delay, winning the final with a score of 6-4, 5-7, 6-4, 6-2. With that victory, Nadal became part of an elite group of grand slammers by winning the Australian Open, the French Open, Wimbledon and the U.S. Open.
