No Season Six, But Tim and Eric Will Be Home for Chrimbus

Tim and Eric announce tour, Chrimbus special'Tim and Eric, Awesome Show, Great Job' may be done, but Tim and Eric aren't quite done with Adult Swim yet.

In March, Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim told Maxim "season cinco" would end the series run and discussed 'Tim and Eric's Billion Dollar Movie,' co-produced by Will Ferrell and set to hit theaters in 2011.

On Monday, in an announcement the pair had been hyping on Twitter for days, they revealed plans in a YouTube video for their one-hour 'Chrimbus Spectacular,' which will feature dyspeptic comic Neil Hamburger and Pusswhip Banggang (Tim and Eric in full rock band mode), and for 29-date tour.

The special premieres December 5 on Adult Swim.

'Awesome Show' packed a frightening amount of short ideas into roughly 11 minutes per episode, including music videos and recurring characters. Tim and Eric are good at burning the bizarre into your memory in less than a minute. Chippy, the mustachioed toddler, still gives me nightmares, and I sometimes find myself singing, "What's your dad like? Wanna meet that dad."

So what will their hour-long fake holiday special look like? And a Tim and Eric feature film? There have been a few great, if largely unheralded sketch comedy features like 'Kentucky Fried Movie' and 'Amazon Women on the Moon.' That's one possible model.

Or they may look more like 'Tom Goes to the Mayor,' with a central group of characters and some warped storyline. They mention the Chrimbus special is a "spoof" and "goof" on the first two 'Jaws' movies (doubtful, but who knows?). Whatever the final result, it will be unique to Tim and Eric.
