Amy Yasbeck Recalls Loss of Husband John Ritter (VIDEO)

Amy Yasbeck recalls the death of husband John Ritter on 'Whatever With Alexis and Jennifer' (weekdays, 11AM ET on Hallmark), seven years after he collapsed on the set of his sitcom '8 Simple Rules' and later died of an aortic dissection.

Yasbeck, who recently wrote a memoir of her life with Ritter called 'With Love and Laughter,' said that she found felt comforted after her husband's passing by how closely people identified with him.

"He had the kind of people-power that really reached across," she said. "When he passed away, it was like people ... lost somebody in their family ... It helped me in a way."
