'Dancing With the Stars' Results: Who Got Kicked Off First? (VIDEO)
Who earned the dubious honor of being the first celebrity eliminated from 'Dancing With the Stars'? Keep reading to find out ...In a shocking result that even befuddled host Tom Bergeron, actor/German pop sensation David Hasselhoff was the first contestant kicked off season 11 of 'Dancing With the Stars.'
"Hey, we tried," said Hasselhoff, alongside his partner Kym Johnson. Their cha-cha rated poorly with the judges on Monday night's performance show, garnering only a score of 15. TV Squad's Michael Pascua called Hasselhoff "very rusty."
The Hoff told us after the performance taping that he "woke up [Monday] morning not remembering anything" and that wished he had "done better for Kym."Johnson, meanwhile, thought the judges were very hard on her celeb partner. "I felt badly for David. He tried really hard," she told us.
Joining the Hoff in the bottom two (though not necessarily with the next lowest vote total) were Disney Channel star Kyle Massey and partner Lacey Schwimmer.
Despite low scores, comedian Margaret Cho and 'Jersey Shore' star Michael "The Situation" Sorrentino managed to get through to next week.
The results show featured performances by Santana and Chris Daughtry, as well as Adam Carolla's "Tour de Dance" highlighting the origins of the different dances.
Week 2 of 'Dancing With the Stars' will spotlight the jive and quickstep.
