News Roundup: 'Dancing With the Stars' Wins the Ratings, Another 'Real Housewives' Husband Arrested and More

'Dancing With the Stars'It's official: Last night's two-hour 'Dancing With the Stars' premiere was a huge hit for ABC. According to TV by the Numbers, the show won the night with huge ratings for its 11th season debut. More than 20 million viewers tuned in, a 22 percent increase over last season's premiere. ABC's 'Castle' followed suit with a 22 percent increase, with more than 11 million viewers watching the third season premiere.

Other shows that landed big ratings were the 'Hawaii 5-0' series premiere with 13.8 million viewers, the 'Two and a Half Men' eighth season premiere with 14.5 million viewers, the 'Mike & Molly' series premiere with 12.2 million viewers and 'The Event' series premiere with 11.2 million viewers.

On the other side of the spectrum, Fox's well-reviewed 'Lone Star' bombed with only 4 million people tuning in for the series premiere.

In other TV news ...

VH1 will begin airing 'Saturday Night Live' reruns on Sat., Sept. 25.
The network will start with a nine-hour season 32 marathon, and will continue airing the show at 1:30PM Sundays and noon, 5PM and 6PM every weekday. Each episode will be cut down from 90 minutes to one hour. [The Comic's Comic]

Will Forte's first role since leaving 'Saturday Night Live' will be on 'How I Met Your Mother.' Forte is reprising the role of Randy, Barney's rebound friend and employee at Goliath National Bank. Look for Marshall to struggle with the decision to fire Randy, and Robin to come to the realization she may have slept with Forte's character on Halloween. [TV Guide]

Andre Royo will stick around 'Fringe.' Royo, who many will recognize from 'The Wire,' will debut in the season 3 premiere and return later this fall. Royo plays a cab driver who interacts with Olivia in the alternate universe. [Ausiello Files]

Lyle Lovett is set to guest star on 'Castle.' The singer-songwriter will play a government agent who interrogates Castle and Beckett during an investigation. [Ausiello Files]

• Lionsgate is getting into the web TV business with a new series called 'Trailer Trash.' The show will feature "cartoon hillbillies involved in assorted high jinks." The studio placed an order for 24 episodes of the series, which combines animation and live action. [The Hollywood Reporter]

Simon Barney, husband of 'The Real Housewives of Orange County' star Tamra Barney, was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence last night. He allegedly showed up at his estranged wife's house to return her dog, and an argument got out of hand and Tamra called the police. [E!]

'The Shield' alumnus Jay Karnes has been cast as Erica Evans' partner on 'V.' Karnes will recur in the role of Chris Bolling, Erica's new partner. The duo went through training together and Bolling begins to suspect Erica may have divided loyalties. [TV Guide]

• Odette Yustman will play the new love interest of Dave Annable's character on 'Brothers & Sisters.' They've already got chemistry -- the two have been engaged since earlier this year. Yustman will play a nurse who falls for Justin as he gets over his breakup with wife Rebecca. [E!]
