What Will Be the Next Wacky Story About Tea Partier Christine O'Donnell? (VIDEO)
Christine O'Donnell is the recent surprise winner of the Delaware state Republican primary. Ms. O'Donnell is a member of the Tea Party, and was a huge underdog in the race, but she managed to defeat former Governor and nine-term Congressman Mike Castle. But her stunning victory isn't the only surprising thing about her.Ever since she won the race, Christine has pretty much been constantly in the news, and her name keeps popping up in relation to various odd stories. There was her belief that all masturbation is "sinful." There was her belief that scientists were creating a new type of mouse with a human brain.
And in perhaps the strangest tale of all -- there was O'Donnell's past revelation that she had dabbled in witchcraft. ... But what could possibly come next for the Tea Partier?
On the 'Colbert Report' (weeknights, 11:30PM ET on Comedy Central), host Stephen Colbert tries to figure out what the latest weird story will be for O'Donnell. And in order to guess, he has invented the "CHRISTINE O'DONNELL CLIP PREDICTOR 3000." Good stuff.
Here's how the "Predictor" works: Colbert spins a bunch of wheels with an arrow, and the contraption decides what the next big O'Donnell story will be -- and what TV program will break the story. Here are two potential breaking Christine-related news events that the wheel comes up with. Could this be what the future holds?
1) She "Killed a Drifter With a Zombie" -- and the story will show up on Anthony Bourdain's 'No Reservations.'
2) Ms. O'Donnell "Robbed a Bank With a Merman." This upcoming scoop will be revealed on the series 'Meerkat Manor.'
Hmmm ... Neither one of these sounds that much less plausible then some of the prior randomness linked to Christine. But we may not be done yet. Colbert says that if Christine doesn't come on his show, he'll spin the wheel again. This, by the way, is a veiled reference to the fact that Bill Maher has threatened to keep on showing odd video clips of her unless she agrees to appear on 'Politically Incorrect.' So between Colbert, Maher and O'Donnell, the weirdness may never end.
