What would you be willing to do in order to dance with Madonna? Would you be willing to leave your poor old mother behind? Would you turn down a spot on a nationally televised talk show? Actor Jeremy Renner was fine with doing both of these things.

Renner appeared on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' (weeknights, 12AM ET on ABC), where he discussed his Oscar night activities. Jeremy played the lead in the film 'The Hurt Locker,' which won the 2010 Academy Award for Best Picture. After this, Renner was in the mood to celebrate, but his mom was along for the ride. What to do ... what to do? The answer was simple: He ditched his mom, leaving her behind at one party while he went to another gathering, where he "randomly" danced with Madonna.

But he's not a bad son! Jeremy told host Jimmy Kimmel that his mom was fine on her own. "My mom's good. You know, she's Irish; she can make things happen." In fact, Renner reported that his mother was probably "hitting on" someone that night, and so it was for the best that he didn't have to witness his mom engaged in the act of flirtation.

Flirting worked out pretty well for Jeremy that evening too. At about three in the morning, he was drunk and dancing with Ms. Madonna Louise Ciccone. ... Which is when people from the 'Today Show' tried to get him to make an appearance on their talk show. Jeremy told them to go away, except his language was a bit more profane than that. We're going to cautiously say that Renner made the right call there. After all, he's obviously has a lot of chances to appear on talk shows (like, say, for instance -- 'Jimmy Kimmel Live'). But getting to trip the light fantastic with the "Material Girl" is a rare, potentially once-in-a-lifetime activity.
