Betty White Finally Gets Her Emmy on 'Inside the Actors Studio' (VIDEO)

Betty White Gets Emmy on 'Actors Studio'A pillar of television comedy for 60 years, Betty White finally appeared on 'Inside the Actors Studio' (Tue., 8PM ET on BRAVO). Not only did host James Lipton quiz her on her life and career, he had a (big) award to give her.

"Betty has just won another Emmy as the host of 'Saturday Night Live,'" explained Lipton. "But you were unable to attend the ceremony to receive the award."

He then pulled out the Ernst & Young envelope that announced her as the Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series winner, and handed her the statue. "I've got some 'golden girls' who'll keep her company at home," the six-time Emmy winner joked.

Later in the interview, Lipton persuaded the actress to "dance a step for our students" and things almost got a little racy.

Betty you are the best wish we had 1000 more just like you. Has blessed we are to have you and your great sense of humor and quickness of wit. Loved the Golden Girls and still watch the re-runs sometimes. How sad it is that we do not have that quality of TV viewing around any more. Thank you Betty for making our life better just by your presence and your contribution to it. You are the best and quite a lady.

Today's "stars" should take a page from Betty White's life. They might learn class, humility, self-effacing, and be a bit less narcissistic.

What a fantastic person & amazing life. Love when she said when she got to heaven & the pearly gates opened.someone would say, "come on in,Betty--Alan's waiting for you". Almost cried, so touching. May it be just as you wish. God Bless You.

Bea Arthur never did like Betty White, for unknown reasons. Rue McClanahan had sais that Betty would go out of her way to be nice to Bea, but Bea was'nt having any of it. Bea Arthur is the reason Golden Girls was cancelled. She wanted to quit the series, the other ladies wanted to go on with another actress coming to the show. Bea had it in her contract that the show would stop when she did. What a shame too. Debbie Reynolds was a hoot when she made an appearance on the show, I think she would've been a great replacement. Bea, even though in her mind, did not make the show..not for me anyway. I loved watching her, but she was not the only 'star'.
All the girls were golden in my opinion.
Too bad some get that attitude because they've been in show business for so long. Makes the rest of us suffer because of their ego.
Kudos to Betty...may she shine on and on!!

It's funny that many of us watched Betty on The Golden Girls for years, both in prime time and years of reruns, and suddenly Betty is getting the accolades she's deserved for years. She's also been a consummate actor, and I'm glad to see she's getting the recognition she has deserved for so long. We love you, Betty!
