'Dancing With the Stars' Results: Who Got Kicked Off in Week 2?
Who was the second celebrity to follow David Hasselhoff off the dance floor on this week's 'Dancing With the Stars?' Keep reading to find out who went home ...
Is it any surprise that after earning a woeful "3" from judge Bruno Tonioli this week (and a combined score of 12), it was singer Michael Bolton's turn to go home?
Bolton, whose jive Toniolo called "probably the worst in 11 seasons," admitted to being surprised to hear his name called. Thank goodness for closed-captioning: Otherwise, we wouldn't have known just what the singer, who was still suffering from laryngitis, said. "Yeah, it's disappointing," he told Brooke Burke. "Chelsie's been awesome and I wanted her to go on as well."
"Michael is such a genuine person," Hightower told Tom Bergeron. "And it was honestly such an honor to work with you and such an honor to work with you this past month. I really am so proud of you."
Before the results came in, Bergeron took Tonioli to task for being "a little hard" on Bolton. "Tonioli insisted he considers Bolton a "fantastic singer and a wonderful person ... but Rin Tin Tin would have done a better jive."
"My job is to point out what I see," Tonioli shrugged, adding, "The public, you can vote, you can get him back."
When Len Goodman, usually the harshest judge by anyone's standards, agreed that his fellow judge was too harsh -- "I always try to show a little bit of positive" -- Tonioli huffily called him a liar, saying, "He should be a politician."
Joining Bolton in the bottom three were singer Brandy and partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy and in the bottom two, Karina Smirnoff and Michael "The Situation" Sorrentino.
Janelle Monáe sang 'Tightrope,' and Seal performed his new song, 'The Weight of My Mistakes.' Macy's Stars of Dance performed to 'Every Little Thing She Does is Magic.'
Kyle Massey and Lacey Schwimmer reprised their quickstep from the night before. Bergeron tried to clear up "Boo-gate" by showing an unedited clip from Monday that more clearly showed that the boos were a reaction to Jennifer Grey's score, not the arrival of celeb mom Sarah Palin.
'Dancing With the Stars' airs Mon., 8PM ET on ABC. Results show airs Tues., 9PM ET on ABC.
