May sweeps is going to blow in Fox's most ambitious stunt yet, as far as its animated shows are concerned.Seth MacFarlane will terrorize his three Sunday animated shows, 'American Dad,' 'The Cleveland Show' and 'Family Guy' with one very big and blustery guest star: a hurricane. According to TV Guide, the families on the three hit shows will be trapped in their homes by a hurricane and eventually meet.
The gang on 'The Cleveland Show' will have their family vacation ruined by the storm. "They decide to have a cruise in the house, but that doesn't turn out to be so much fun," Mike Henry, executive producer, told TV Guide.
On 'Family Guy,' cabin fever strikes and to in an effort to remedy the situation, Brian takes mushrooms. "Stewie has to be his coach and walk him through his trip," Steve Callaghan, executive producer, said. "You'll see images unlike anything you've ever seen on our show."
When hurricane strikes 'American Dad,' the family gets to experience their own 'Poseidon Adventure.' The house will flood, turn upside down and the family will face a shark. Eventually, the house drifts and TV Guide reports the three MacFarlane-created families will finally share the same animated stage.
This isn't the first time animated sitcoms have had crossovers on Fox. Jay Sherman of 'The Critic' popped up on 'The Simpsons' more than once -- albeit in a cameo the second time -- and the crew from 'King of the Hill' can be seen in a 'Simpsons' episode as well.
