'Warehouse 13' Coming Back for Season 3

by Catherine Lawson, posted Oct 5th 2010 8:15AM
After weeks of rumors, it's been reported that 'Warehouse 13' will be back for a third season in 2011.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, SyFy will soon announce that it's ordered another 13 episodes of the series. Showrunner Jack Kenny will be staying for the the new season and he's believed to have signed a development deal with the cable network.

The second season of 'Warehouse 13' was SyFy's most-watched series this year. Programming Chief Mark Stern said of the new deal, "Jack Kenny's superlative leadership and the incredible talent of his cast and crew delivered an outstanding second season of 'Warehouse 13.' ... We're excited to see this successful series return next year and to developing our next hit with Jack."

The series follows two secret service agents (played by Joanne Kelly and Eddie McClintock) who collect dangerous supernatural artifacts for a top-secret storage facility in South Dakota, known as 'Warehouse 13.'

It's been variously described as 'The X-Files' meets 'Raiders of the Lost Ark' meets 'The Librarian' meets 'Moonlighting,' and has been written or produced by some of the heaviest hitters in television sci fi, such as Rockne S. O'Bannon ('Farscape') and Jane Espenson ("Battlestar Galactica').

Yeah you have to bring Myka back...of course she quit but season 3 can be about bringing her back and gettting her into the fold .

I agree. They still have good writers, I even like the guy that's playing the new character, but with Myka gone ... I'd have to be really blown away by the first couple of episodes to keep watching. I think the characters worked so well together, and Kelly is such an amazing performer in every scene, it's just painful to imagine the show without her in a leading role.

You have to bring Myka back the show is not a show with out her... It's like bat man without robin.... Superman without lois lane, Santa with out a bag, elvis with out a pompador, ckicken without crust, beans without rice.. you get the picture...

13 episodes is for shows that run in the Summer, as this series is SyFy's summer filler show. It will run for 13 weeks starting in June and ending in august.

because its called warehouse 13....its their recurring theme ;).....maybe they're keeping things on a leash since many of the NBC shows and such have been failing b/c of poor ratings, if the show falls, then they'd have to lose less for that season....i think its the former :D

YES! I've become somewhat obsessed with Warehouse 13, they totally hooked me with season 2 and I'm really glad they got renewed for season 3.

I'm really hoping they'll bring back HG Wells as guest badguy because she was one of the best things about season 2 and it would be interesting to see how Myka deals with the betrayal.

Same here - I don't know exactly what it was about H.G., but she was a character (as either villain or agent) that I really liked, and would love to see back..

The only problem is the fact that Myka resigned to the warehouse, which in reality means that she didnt want to play the part anymore. The only possibility is that she appears as a guest on the show and hopefully wants to start doing it again.

Honestly, I sort of lost interest in the series when I watched that. It'd be like watching Boondock Saints with only one of the brothers. Its just not the same.

ive seen her recently on "no ordinary family" and i think shes taking a supporting role there
but this gives claudia a chance to step up though i think sheld do better on "eureka" as a warehouse liason

also we have to think about miss fredricks and arty, if myka comes back, will they let her.

i love this show and hope it gathers enough followers to become prime time.

also a side note to scifi.."please buy and reproduce the following show cause they rocked,"
1) special unit 2
2) moonlight
3) the cape (recently aired and cancelled{those bastards})
4)the dresdin files
you can recast i know you can
