Tim Gunn Opens Up About Suicide Attempt in PSA (VIDEO)

Tim Gunn, usually the best part of 'Project Runway,' is speaking out about a failed suicide attempt for the Trevor Project's new campaign, "It Gets Better."

Gunn joins many stars who have lent their voices to the suicide-prevention campaign targeted at LGBTQ youth. In his PSA, which is below, Gunn details a failed suicide attempt when he was 17 years old.

After a string of gay teen suicides, many stars are supporting this campaign and the similar "We Give A Damn" project. The hot-button issue reportedly will be touched on in an upcoming episode of Fox's popular comedy 'Glee.'
