Tim GunnTim Gunn, usually the best part of 'Project Runway,' is speaking out about a failed suicide attempt for the Trevor Project's new campaign, "It Gets Better."

Gunn joins many stars who have lent their voices to the suicide-prevention campaign targeted at LGBTQ youth. In his PSA, which is below, Gunn details a failed suicide attempt when he was 17 years old.

After a string of gay teen suicides, many stars are supporting this campaign and the similar "We Give A Damn" project. The hot-button issue reportedly will be touched on in an upcoming episode of Fox's popular comedy 'Glee.'

Watch the PSA below, and trust us, it does get better.

Glad to see you giving exposure to this wonderful undertaking.

Credit should go to Dan Savage of Savage Love. It Gets Better is his project.
