Michael Kors on Sample Sale Madness Among Women (VIDEO)

According to designer Michael Kors, nothing creates a frenzy among women more than a sample sale. Kors himself has seen women come to blows, and even shed their clothing in pursuit of low-cost designer items, he said on 'Live With Regis and Kelly' (weekdays, syndicated).

"You can see a mother and daughter having a fistfight over a blouse. Your best friend, suddenly ... you're kicking her to the ground," Kors said. "And ... the most modest person is full nude ... and she's got a pile of clothes that aren't even in her size."

"It is so funny to watch women when fashion is at stake and there's a deal," he continued.

Kelly Ripa agreed and admitted she's not above elbowing her way to a cheap deal. "It's animalistic behavior," she said. "If there's a luxury handbag at stake, I'll throw an elbow."
