Bristol Palin Says She Hasn't Lost Weight on 'Dancing With the Stars'
Unlike many previous contestants on 'Dancing With the Stars,' the grueling training schedule and pressure of wearing skimpy outfits haven't caused Bristol Palin to lose weight.According to The Huffington Post, Bristol said "I haven't really noticed a change in [my body] ... I think most people lose weight [on the show] because they're too stressed out to eat. I haven't had that problem!"
Despite mom Sarah Palin telling an audience earlier this week that Bristol's "way out of her element, out of her comfort zone" by being on the show, it doesn't seem to have translated to any body image problems for the 19-year-old. She says she doesn't weigh herself and hasn't noticed any changes to her body except that her legs are more toned.
Its just as well that she's happy in her body, as next week sees the "sexy dance" on the show, which usually means more revealing outfits. "I have to get into character," Bristol said. "Dressing sexy will help me get into character more. Next week, I'll be dressing sexy. This is it."
Other celebrities -- most famously Kelly Osbourne -- who've appeared on 'Dancing With the Stars' have lost a ton of weight, and stars like Jenny Garth have praised the weight-loss benefits of appearing on the show. During the firs tseason, finalist John O'Hurley became the poster boy for dancing and weight loss. However, Erin Andrews complained that she was "too thin" at the end of her run, and Niecy Nash said she didn't notice any difference in her body.
'Dancing With the Stars' airs Mon., 8PM ET on ABC.
