'Outsourced': Getting Drunk, Blacking Out, and Getting Naked (VIDEO)

'Outsourced': Getting Drunk, Blacking Out, and Getting NakedTodd Dempsy is living thousands of miles from home. On the new sitcom 'Outsourced', Todd (Ben Rappaport) has been downsized from his job in the United States, and then transferred to a new office in Mumbai, India. And the thing about living in a foreign country is that sometimes, you're just glad to hang out with anyone who speaks the same language as you.

[Warning: Spoiler alert.]

Which explains why Todd spends time with his annoying co-worker Charlie (Diedrich Bader). During the latest episode (Wed., 9:30PM ET on NBC), Todd learns that Charlie has a crush on Tonya (Pippa Black) -- yet another expat living in India. It's easy to understand why someone would have the hots for Tonya. She's beautiful and she's Australian, which means that she has one of those cool "Aussie" accents.

And so, Todd attempts to do a solid for his American "friend." He sets up a double-date, so that Charlie can have a chance to hit on Tonya. Unfortunately, this attempt at generosity backfires when Charlie gets drunk and blacks out. The next morning, it's revealed that Charlie got lucky during the date -- he felt up someone in a nightclub. But sadly, this person wasn't Tonya -- it was Todd. "You grabbed my boob," he says to Charlie. Ah, drunken, blacked-out guy-on-guy groping ... good times, good times.

To make matters worse, Charlie has "misplaced" all his clothes, and insists on walking home while he's still naked. Todd offers to lend him money to buy some replacement clothes, but Charlies waves away the offer. "I don't borrow money," he says, "I've got my dignity." Great. ... And that's the other thing about living in a foreign land. Sometimes, it helps you realize that your fellow countrymen are just kind of ... jerks.

The longer this show goes the more I like it. All the characters are funny and we are beginning to see the human side of most of them. I feel the problem we have here in America is the same problem we have in many parts of the world. We have built a shield around us and many times we ignore how other people in the world live. We as americans do not make an effort to know their traditions. If we look at the younger generations they don't have a clue on the geography or history of the world. We are not alone here and we must learn to live with each other if we are willing to survive. This show has humor blended in with the realities of life. It is not the people in India we need to blame for the outsourcing of our jobs. It is our government at fault that for generations have encouraged companies to move overseas. This show brings to light that we have a major problem in this country. Don't blame the show and give it a chance. It good comedy. I am proud to be an American and yes, my job has been outsourced twice!

This is probably the worst sit-com on television right now.

Loving this show. Not sure how it is translating to the masses though.

With episode 3 now in the books, there's been great character development and just as good humor!!

Is anyone going to review this show? You guys really gave it a lot of hate before the season but I gave it a chance and ended up really liking it. I'm curious as to how the writers that hated the pilot feel the series has developed. Also, I just found this out last night but this is a spin-off of a movie and I don't think I ever saw that mentioned here.
