Rick Sanchez Breaks His Silence on 'Good Morning America' (VIDEO)

In his first public appearance since CNN fired him for calling Jon Stewart a "bigot" and for implying Jewish people control the news media, Rick Sanchez sat down with George Stephanopoulos on 'Good Morning America' (weekdays 7 AM ET on ABC) to try to explain himself.Sanchez reiterated the apology his PR people put out on Tuesday, and added that he was "tired," before appearing on the radio show on which he made the offensive comments. He then he took full responsibility for his firing, adding "I screwed up."
Sanchez also conceded that Stewart, who often made fun of Sanchez on the 'Daily Show,' really got to him.
"It's almost like if (Stewart) does a piece of Glenn Beck calling the president a communist then he has to do a piece on somebody on CNN and I'm the one he chooses . . . and I was feeling like "you know, is that really fair?"
Of course, life is often unfair, even for rich and handsome anchormen, and that's no excuse for Sanchez's outburst. But he does deserve some credit for admitting he was wrong and publicly apologizing.
