White House Gate Crashers Feel Vindicated By D.C. 'Housewives' Finale (VIDEO)

Salahis Talk 'Housewives' Finale on 'Watch What Happens: Live'On 'Watch What Happens: Live' (Thu., 10:15PM ET on BRAVO), host Andy Cohen discussed the finale of 'The Real Housewives of D.C.' with stars Michaele and Tareq Salahi. They were pleased with the episode's portrayal of their now-infamous appearance at a White House State Dinner, saying it proved they weren't gate crashers.

"You think tonight's episode cleared you?" Cohen asked skeptically. Tareq answered, "The world's been waiting for this: You saw that we didn't lie, we didn't scale a fence ... We showed our real IDs; we said our real names."

Cohen admitted that though they were never charged of any wrongdoing, "I didn't see from tonight's episode the smoking gun that you're talking about." Tareq's further proof of their innocence was that the Secret Service was shown helping the 'Real Housewives' film crew.

I can't believe the audacity of this couple! They are absolutely, with out a doubt, publicity whores!
It really surprises me, especially after so arrogantly pleading the 5th in court, that they were not proscecuted!
This shows that ANYBODY can crash a White House party..ANYBODY! that thought is scary..scary as hell

Watched all espisodes of Real Housewives of DC and the Finale and these two are out and out liars and fame whores. She is so false and he's even worse. The finale in no way vindicated them of any wrong doing!!! The White House security made mistakes and allowed them in illegaly. They WERE NOT invited and that is the truth. They are such AXXHOLES. She is a compulsive liar and he is a story teller. They should be prosecuted and I'm very disappointed the government has dropped the ball.

I totally agree that the gov't has dropped the ball. Why? Will we ever know? IF they don't prosecute these people, it's another notch in the belt of 'how not to run our country.' There is enough notoriety regarding this situation & I for one do NOT agree with their televised explanation. All they did with this interview was talk over each other. They are GUILTY & I for one want them arrested.

Did anyone REALLY SEE and HEAR what happened at the first check point after the Salahi's got out of the limo? In no way were they given access to the state dinner! Watch the scene again. What security at the White House instructed the Salahi's to do after their name was not found on the guest list was to please stand to the side inside the gate until security could verify (clear up)why their names were not listed. Security opened the gate; the Salahi's walked in and asked if they were to stand there security said yes. Security then proceeded to check another couple names on the list. The Salahi's did not follow White House security instructions...to stand to the side ...the Salahi's continued to walk toward the event as if they given clearance. Of course it became easier for them to get past each check point. Why? Because of he assumption that they were initially cleared. In my opinion; at the very moment the Salahi's disregarded a direct order to stand to the side and wait until things could get cleared up; the Salahi's became guilty of exactly what they have been accused of. They intentionally "breached the security of our White House, they lied to Federal agents, and most importantly they completely disregarded the safety and integrity of the Presidency of the United States." They KNEW they were NOT given clearance to enter the State Dinner; invitation or not!!!!!
