Hopelessly Devoted to You: Five TV Obsessives, from Kenneth the Page to Screech Powers

Fred Flintstone and Barney RubbleFrom Yogi and Boo-Boo to Barney Rubble and Fred Flintstone, the concept of a devoted sidekick thanklessly following around a main character on a TV show dates all the way back to the Hanna-Barbara days. No matter the amount of craziness it entailed, those guys would do anything for their buddies and received little love in return.

That level of extreme devotion is not a phenomenon dedicated solely to cartoon characters -- in fact, it's a concept that's been featured in many a show over the years. After the jump, a look at five of the most hopelessly devoted TV obsessives.

Stevie Janowski, 'Eastbound & Down'The Show: 'Eastbound & Down'
The Obsessed: Stevie Janowski
The Obsessee: Kenny Powers
Swinging for the Fences: Stevie's role as Kenny's "assistant" knows no limits: Whether it's scoring some 'roids for the Shelby Sensation or making the worst-looking showcase videos ever to help Kenny get back to the Big Leagues, Stevie's there for him.
Devotion Scale Ranking (1 to 10): After this season's second episode, when Janowski followed his hero to Mexico, it's pretty safe to say Stevie broke the scale!

Kenneth Parcell, '30 Rock'The Show: '30 Rock'
The Obsessed: Kenneth Parcell
The Obsessee: Tracy Jordan
Special Delivery: Now, Kenneth "the Page" Parcell will do anything for anyone, but when it comes to 'TGS' star Tracy Jordan, he's got his back, front, middle ... wherever, he's there. One minute he's sent over to seduce Tracy's wife Angie, the next he's in the delivery room with her wearing a Tracy mask. Tracy likes him too -- what's not to like about someone who will cater to all of your crazy whims?
Devotion Scale Ranking: 10

Mel, 'Flight of the Conchords'The Show: 'Flight of the Conchords'
The Obsessed: Mel
The Obsessees: Brett and Jemaine
Music to Her Ears: Mel might fall more into the "stalker" category, but you definitely can't question her adoration of the band: She's there at every show, she lets them move into her apartment and she even gets her husband to chauffeur the guys around. OK, she's definitely a stalker.
Devotion Scale Ranking: 10

Screech Powers, 'Saved By the Bell'The Show: 'Saved by the Bell'
The Obsessed: Screech Powers
The Obsessee: Zack Morris
Splitting Hairs: Remember the episode when Zack had a date with Kelly Kapowski, but he was blackmailed into taking out Principal Belding's niece on a blind date that same night? Who was there to save the day -- complete with a Zack Morris wig -- but his main man Screech? Though Screech was a little odd, to say the least, he was still part of the gang.
Devotion Scale Ranking: 8

Robin, 'Batman'The Show: 'Batman'
The Obsessed:
The Obsessee: Batman
He'll Do Anything for Love: Granted, Robin was technically more of a sidekick, but come on: Shouldn't he have been going to sock-hops or building model cars or whatever it is your typical 16-year-old kid in the '60s was doing as opposed to climbing up buildings, punching out bad guys and wearing short shorts and a cape all because his guardian was doing it? Well, actually, that sounds kind of cool -- minus the short shorts, of course.
