ABC Moves 'Body of Proof' to Midseason
Fans of Dana Delany, there's no need to panic. 'Body of Proof' will come out -- just not as soon as originally thought.According to Variety, the ABC medical examiner series that was to debut at 9PM on Fridays this fall has been pushed to midseason. The reason? ABC wants to give it a chance in a better timeslot.
ABC plans to give the series a healthy marketing plan prior to launch. You know, like they gave the now-cancelled 'My Generation.' (Those billboards and public transportation ads are still up, by the way.)
There are a few possible timeslots for 'Body of Proof' to slip into: 'The Whole Truth' has not been a ratings success at 10PM on Wednesdays, and 'Detroit 1-8-7' has slumped at 10PM on Tuesdays.
CBS rules Friday nights with 'Blue Bloods.' NBC's 'Outlaw' has already fallen to Tom Selleck's might, so it's probably better that the show is finding a different home. In 'Body of Proof's' place on Fridays will be 'Primetime: What Would You Do?'
'Body of Proof' stars Delany as Dr. Megan Hunt, a brilliant neurosurgeon who becomes a medical examiner after a series of emotional traumas. The series also stars 'Star Trek: Voyager' alumna Jeri Ryan,
