'Bored to Death': A Writer With a Gun to His Head (VIDEO)

It's just one of those days on 'Bored to Death' (Sun., 10PM ET on HBO). One of those "getting kidnapped by a pair of armed thugs" kind of days. That's never fun -- especially when you're new to the whole "guns and criminals" scene ...'Bored' hero Jonathan Ames (Jason Schwartzman) is a struggling novelist with a drinking problem. When the series began, Jon had two big problems: His literary career was going nowhere, and his girlfriend had dumped him. Jon needed to change his life -- so on a whim, he started a new career as a private detective. But can a sensitive author make it in a world of bad guys and bullets?
Sadly, Jon is not the world's greatest private eye. On a previous case, the writer/gumshoe stole valuable info from an underground sex dungeon -- a list of the dungeon's clients. Now, armed thugs want that info back. So they grab Mr. Ames and take him to the standard ominous empty warehouse. It's up to Jon's bumbling literary friends George and Ray (Ted Danson and Zach Galifianakis) to stage a rescue attempt ...
... Which goes really badly. George and Ray suck at this sort of thing. During the botched "rescue," George accidentally shoots Ray in the forehead (don't worry; it's just with a rubber bullet). Then, they're also captured by the goons. Great, now all three friends are facing certain death.
Will the good guys escape? Only one thing is in their favor. They're artists and literary types, and these guys are pretty good at coming up with clever plot twists. Jon needs to think of a way out. But can a failed writer be creative ... when he's staring down the barrel of a gun?
