Who Is That Awesome 10-Foot-Tall Guy on Tonight's 'Chuck'?

Why, it's Awesome, Captain Awesome, or rather a plaster version of the brother-in-law of spy guy Chuck Bartowski. In tonight's new 'Chuck' installment, 'Chuck Versus the Coup d'Etat' (8PM ET, NBC), the gang -- including Chuck, Sarah, Awesome and Awesome's pregnant wife Ellie -- heads to Costa Gravas for a little vacay, at the invitation of Armand Assante, as Allejandro Goya, from season 3's 'Chuck Versus the Angel de la Muerte.'
Goya is still indebted to Captain Awesome, aka Dr. Devon Woodcomb, aka actor Ryan McPartlin, for saving his life in season 3, and he's setting out to repay him, via the trip and a little plaster homage.
"He basically offers to fly us in a private jet (to Costa Gravas)," McPartlin told TV Squad. "And it just so happens that Ellie is looking for some excitement, and it all fits into the plan really well for her. Of course, Awesome is a little apprehensive to bring his pregnant wife to Costa Gravas, and sure enough, a little coup d'etat happens while we're there, and it gets pretty crazy. And the 10-foot statue is in honor of Awesome saving his life last year."
McPartlin's reaction to seeing himself so larger-than-life-like? "It's funny, because I'd love to say I was blown away, but being on 'Chuck,' I've come to expect crazy things, so there's not a whole lot that surprises me anymore when I show up at that set," he said. "Of course it's amazing, and it's cool. I always say that when I look back on this show, it's going to be like, 'I can't believe I was a part of that!' (And) I know, looking back one day, I'm going to try to track that statue down and put it in my back yard.
"It's in a warehouse right now, and they're deciding what they're going to do with it ... they wanted to put it in the writers room, and then they were talking about putting it in the Warner Bros. museum ... but I don't think it would fit in there. The real problem is the size of it. To be honest, my house isn't big enough and my backyard is not big enough for a statue like that."
