'30 Rock' Live Episode: The Cast Previews the Show

Live from New York ... it's '30 Rock'!The comedy is taking a page from its NBC sibling 'Saturday Night Live' and airing a live episode Thu., Oct. 14. East Coast viewers will see it first at 8:30PM ET and another version will air for West Coast audiences at 11:30PM ET.
The idea for a live episode came from a benefit performance the cast did during the writers' strike in 2007. And since Tina Fey and Tracy Morgan cut their teeth on 'SNL,' and Jane Krakowski is a Broadway veteran, a live episode seemed like it'd be a piece of cake. The show even took over 'SNL's' home in Studio 8H in Rockefeller Center.
I spoke to Fey, Morgan, Krakowski and Jack McBrayer about their hopes (and fears) for the live show. Plus, they dished about doing a musical episode and their dream guest stars (if there are any left!).
Plus: Watch an outtake with me and Tracy Morgan at the TV Squad Tumblr.
