well as a christen babtist morespifically i do not aprove of this lifestyle as a woman it makes me sick to think any woman wold shre her man with anyone else but..
i also am fasnated with the way people think and how people work so i like to watch the show just to understand what makes them tick to see why this lifestyle would attract someone and understand what draws them to it
and mostly i think thats why most poele watch it to understand we don't have to agree or like there choices to want to understand why they make them or that is at least how i see it
i see a family like any other whith many (too many) children who seem well balanced who are spurteed in there distions no matter what they are and are well raised and polite i see marriges that are like others sometimes hard sometimes rocked with boutth jelosy and good times none of these things are any diffent then our familys he just does them bigger does this mean i approve (hell no) but it makes for good tv

everyone is asking where they get the money to afford all that they have. the same way the roloff family gets it and kat+8, etc. they are paid well. 200,000 per episode, per person or more. the roloffs milked it. they got a totally rebuilt home, trips and lets not forget the expensive cars. and i am certain that is where they get theres. his sports car looks pretty new and four separate homes. vehicles for all. grand wedding reception, wedding dress, etc. it is time we stop the reality shows and get back to regular shows. but even with all the pay and perks, what producers put out is less than if they had to pay an actor to play a part. and this society that has thrown respect into the gutter and gone along with anything that networks put on, especially if they have someone like Kody, is to blame for it.

this show is so stupid yet, we are watching. i am watching it because it is a comedy. alot of people say well, they are over 18 and nobody is gettig hurt. maybe not the kids that were born into it but for the new wife (robyn), her kids weren't. she is nothing but selfish. she lived a distance away and she uprooted her children from friends, school and plopped them into this "family". and now they want to have a baby. this guy thinks he some kind of god. all he does is smile way to much and throw his head around to make his hair move. and the wives are all ugly. the 1st wife, she looks like her face is frozen or something. the one that just had a baby, she gets upset over the most stupid things. if him seeing the wedding dress is traumatizing for her. then i don't really think she is "OK" with it. and fat wife, she just acts like she is happy she got a man at all. this man is going to continue to have kids cause that makes feel like he is a stud. his older boys are just like him. the only reason they pitched their idea to tv is because of the money. it got out how much jon & kate plus 8 were getting per episode. 200.000 each. including the kids.and so you can imagine that are getting a good enough check. but i do wonder what kody drove before the show. he is a moron. and the woman are gullible. its obvious he couldn't get a real womam and they couldn't get a real man. because a "real" man wouldn't grin like a idiot and throw his head around to move his hair and make statements like "i feel like a 12 year old" "just like a 12 year old having fun and not worrying about anything". yet we watch, just like we would watch a train wreck. really theres not much difference.

Does anyone in law enforcement watch this show? I thought polygamy was illegal in the US. How can this network, let alone this "family", get away with broadcasting a show like this without it being blown out of the water. When do the agents arrive? I want to watch that show.

Women may not be allowed to work outside the home but they certainly are allowed to draw welfare for themselves and their broad of kids that WE pay for.

What working man do you know who can support 6 or 7 women, 35 kids and have a huge big home, nice vehicles and work as a mechanic somewhere?

I was hoping for some comments on the show itself, not the lifestyle.
They were raised to believe this is normal. Women believe they become better people by dealing with the jealousy issues and they believe the men become better men by having these wives. ITs not like the FLDS where they abuse women and children. These are different kind of polyg's.
I was just struck by each of the different relationships he has with the wives. I watched all the episodes and it was Meri his first wife who pushed him into the lifestyle. Its obvious that while he is smitten with Robyn, its Meri who he is the most attached to and who is the most attached to him. So, in a strange sense, i felt like he really is at heart a monogomist. And for those of you who feel the children are just fine. Thats where i disagree. They were clearly a bit upset by the new marriage. Most of them had lived all their lives with the three wives and they were fine, it was hurtful when Robyn was introduced and selfish at that point to do it.

I want a couple more husbands, both with good jobs of course!

Is this the movie or the real thing? If real, how on earth does he support all these wives and all the children? Most men can only support one and then the wife works.
