'The Rent Is Too Damn High Party' Candidate Jimmy McMillan Steals Show at NY Governor's Debate (VIDEO)

Jimmy McMillan, the candidate for the previously unknown 'The Rent Is Too Damn High Party,' stole the show at Monday night's New York gubernatorial debate. The folks at 'Morning Joe' (weekdays, 6AM ET on MSNBC) were in full agreement with the day-after consensus about McMillan, who wore a Wild West-style mustache, a pair of black gloves and bragged of his karate skills.
Morning Joe played one of McMillan's best one-liners of the night:
"If you want to marry a shoe, I'll marry you," was how the nattily-attired New Yorker responded to a question about if he favored gay marriage.
They also played clips from Andrew Cuomo and Carl Paladino, the two major party nominees. Palidino's once promising candidacy has crashed and burned due to a rash of erratic behavior and controversial statements.
Throughout the debate, Paladino peppered his answers with "they think I'm crazy, but" types of arguments.
However, this rhetorical device fall flat Monday night, because Paladino was sharing the stage with McMillan, a woman who had recently served time in prison for being a madam, and a couple other eccentrics you don't typically see during a televised debate.
In other words, it was difficult to imagine any voters thinking Paladino was the crazy one.
