'Biggest Loser': Letters From Home Lead to TearsWhen you sign up for a reality show, you might not realize how much you'll miss your friends and family. On 'The Biggest Loser' (Tue., 8PM ET on NBC), the issue was this: What's more important, the competition or family ties?

Tonight, the contestants divided into Blue and Black teams and the two squads competed in a trivia challenge. The reward was 40 weeks' worth of 'Biggest Loser' food, plus getting to read letters from home.

[Warning: Spoiler alert.]

The Black team won and got letters from their loved ones. But then, a funny thing happened ... As the Blue team looked upset over the loss, members of team Black began to feel guilty.

Brendan was the first to crumble. He gave up his letter-reading privileges -- so that weeping rival Lisa could open a letter from her daughter. Ada, Anna and Frado also gave away their prizes, enabling three more rivals to get news from home. It was a bonding moment for everyone. The Blue team players got messages from their families. But maybe -- based on the moment of friendliness -- the 'Biggest Losers' have become a "family" as well.
