Deanna Favre Says Faith Helping Her Deal With Allegations Against Husband, NFL QB Brett Favre (VIDEO)

Deanna Favre, 'Good Morning America'Deanna Favre may have booked her time on 'Good Morning America' (Weekdays, 7AM on ABC) to talk about her new book 'The Cure for the Chronic Life,' but when she agreed to also address the allegations surrounding her husband Brett's inappropriate behavior with female staffers of the New York Jets, you could almost see host Robin Roberts ready to toss the book off the set.

"I know this book is very important," Roberts started. "And you know it can help a lot of people, and you're here to talk about that. But you also have agreed to address these current allegations against your husband."

Like any professional trying to sell a product, Favre tried to steer the conversation back to her book, but it was apparent she was in the midst of a difficult time. "I'm a woman of faith," she explained. "That faith has gotten me through many difficult struggles. It will get me through this one, and that's the reason Shane and I wrote the book, 'The Cure for the Chronic Life.'"

Roberts wanted to dig deeper. She likely had the cameraman on standby, awaiting the signal at the first sign of a tear for that dramatic zoom-in. "I know that your faith is very important," Robin conceded. But people want to know "how you're handling this. How you and Brett together are handling this." You could almost see Robin pleading with Deanna to give her something juicy.

"I'm handling this through faith, Robin," Deanna replied, shutting down the conversation on that topic. They had clearly reached an impasse, one awkward enough to make you wish the interview had happened on 'Oprah' instead.
