Clint Eastwood and Jimmy Kimmel Discuss Heaven and Hell (VIDEO)
Actor Clint Eastwood has appeared in 57 movies. But according to Jimmy Kimmel, Eastwood has only "died" in three of his fictional roles. That's a good ratio! But since Clint just directed the film 'Hereafter' -- which involves life after death -- Jimmy had a few more questions for him So on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' (weeknights, 12AM ET on ABC), things got a little ... philosophical. "Do you believe that there is a heaven?" Kimmel asked. "If there is one, will you get into it?"
Clint was willing to discuss his spiritual side. He talked about near-death experiences, mentioning how odd it is that you're supposed to be reunited with your relatives in the afterlife. Kimmel was against the whole "hanging out with your relatives for eternity" thing. "These are the people that you've spent your entire life trying to avoid," the host said.
Eastwood had to agree: "That's a terrific point." He and Jimmy then imagined a version of heaven where you hung out with sexy cheerleaders instead. It was a very "guy-ish" version of the afterlife. But then, we're dealing with Clint Eastwood and the former host of 'The Man Show.' It figures that they would want something other than harps and fluffy clouds.
