Clint Eastwood and Jimmy Kimmel Discuss Heaven and Hell (VIDEO)

by Oliver Miller, posted Oct 22nd 2010 5:31AM
Clint Eastwood and Jimmy Kimmel Discuss Heaven and HellActor Clint Eastwood has appeared in 57 movies. But according to Jimmy Kimmel, Eastwood has only "died" in three of his fictional roles. That's a good ratio! But since Clint just directed the film 'Hereafter' -- which involves life after death -- Jimmy had a few more questions for him

So on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' (weeknights, 12AM ET on ABC), things got a little ... philosophical. "Do you believe that there is a heaven?" Kimmel asked. "If there is one, will you get into it?"

Clint was willing to discuss his spiritual side. He talked about near-death experiences, mentioning how odd it is that you're supposed to be reunited with your relatives in the afterlife. Kimmel was against the whole "hanging out with your relatives for eternity" thing. "These are the people that you've spent your entire life trying to avoid," the host said.

Eastwood had to agree: "That's a terrific point." He and Jimmy then imagined a version of heaven where you hung out with sexy cheerleaders instead. It was a very "guy-ish" version of the afterlife. But then, we're dealing with Clint Eastwood and the former host of 'The Man Show.' It figures that they would want something other than harps and fluffy clouds.

That man has had to deal with all kinds of small things which has taken him off what he went into office planning to take care of. There's a saying: we plan and God laughs! It is soooo true. Spike is right he don't walk on water, the 8yrs. of absolute garbage that was "ALREADY THERE" when he got there will take 2 terms to fix. Its amazing, when Bush was in there people went along with whatever that monkey looking man did, and if there were complaints they were in seclusion like they are now. People have to understand that and give the man time, and pray for him that these little things that keep poping up to destract him stops so he can get down with the buisness he knows he has on hand to do.

I can't believe all of the posters who think Clint looked good. He looks older than dirt! He needs to stick to directing, which he does well. Maybe he can play the grandfather of a newly recast Dirty Harry.

Are you really serious? he is 80. Wha tis he supposed to LOOK like at 80? More importantly..he doesn't NEED to play 'granda" that is really insulting to Mr Eastwood. Didn;t you see GRAN TORINO, that is exaxctly what he doesn't want to play...
