Janet Jackson Denies Engagement Rumors on 'GMA' (VIDEO)

by Donald Deane, posted Oct 25th 2010 1:30PM
While promoting Tyler Perry's upcoming movie 'For Colored Girls' on 'Good Morning America' (weekdays, 7AM ET on ABC), Janet Jackson denied rumors that she's recently become engaged to Qatar businessman Wissam Al Mana.

Jackson described her boyfriend as "very private" and offered no details on their relationship. She did, however, firmly deny that they are engaged.

"He's a very, very private man. So, I don't talk about our relationship," she said. "But, I really think it's important that I just say this: They've been trying to marry me off for a very, very long time, and, no, I'm not engaged. So, I will say that."

She's currently writing songs for her next album with her original producers Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis.

It will be the first for her new record label whose name I can't remember at the moment.

TO RICHARD ORR: LET JANET DO JANET; SHE WILL RECORD NEW MUSIC WHEN SHE GET READY, MAYBE MAKING NEW MUSIC RIGHT NOW REMINDS HER TOO MUCH OF HER BROTHER, SO CHOSES TO ACT FOR RIGHT NOW, I LOVE HER HOWEVER, AND WHAT EVER SHE CHOOSE TO DO.

If Janet Jackson chose to retire making albums
because of the changing music industry, that's okay,
but the least she could've done was record her
next album, out of respect to the Jackson family.
I think Michael Jackson would've wanted her music
career to continue. She had a great song, "Make Me",
and who knows if it would've revived her career, or
perhaps won her a Grammy for Single Of The Year?
