'The Good Guys': "I'm Gonna Protect Your Socks Off" (VIDEO)

There are good cops, and then there are bad cops. And then there are cops who go too far, and get personally involved in a case. Passion is important, especially if you're a renegade policeman. But an excess of passion can get sort of ... weird. Which is the problem on 'The Good Guys' (Fri., 9PM ET on Fox). [Warning: Spoiler alert.]
Detectives Jack and Dan (Colin Hanks and Bradley Whitford) must go undercover to stop a group of arsonists. But when Dan meets the innocent woman he'll be protecting, he's instantly smitten. Meredith (Dana Wheeler-Nicholson) is all alone, and could be attacked by the criminals at any second.
Dan decides to keep her company. But the detective wants to provide some very sexy company. "I will protect you personally," he says. "I'm gonna protect your socks off."
Jack is freaked out by all this flirting and quickly leaves. When he returns, Dan and Meredith are busy getting it on. Unfortunately, an arsonist is there is well. The bad guy splashes gasoline around the house, then prepares to light it with a torch. Dan suddenly rushes outside -- but he's naked save for an unfortunately skimpy leopard-print robe.
The middle-aged detective promised to protect Meredith's "socks off," but now he's the one without any clothes. Can Dan help to stop the arsonist, without flashing his partner and scarring him for life?
