A Dance Marathon on 'Dancing With the Stars' (VIDEO)
It was Rock 'n' Roll night on 'Dancing With the Stars' (Mon., 8PM ET on ABC), and for the episode's finale, the contestants found themselves stuck between a rock ... and a hard place. 'DWTS' abandoned its traditional format to feature a dance marathon. The contestants all had to get out on the dance floor together, and there was nowhere to hide.[Warning: Spoiler alert.]
During the marathon, the judges eliminated the players one by one. The last couple standing would gain an additional ten points for the night. Brandy and Maksim Chmerkovskiy had the highest score from the regular portion of the evening -- they got 26 points out of 30 for their rendition of the tango. But this success wouldn't necessarily translate to the more endurance-focused marathon segment.
One by one, the players were picked off by the judges, and were removed from the spotlight. Kurt Warner and Anna Trebunsyaka were the first couple to be shut down, followed by Bristol Palin and Mark Ballas. As the contest wound down to its conclusion, things started to get tense. Did Brandy and Maks have what it would take to win again? Would Audrina and Tony take it all? Only one pair could triumph, and by the end, they would be standing alone on the dance floor. Who would get the perfect ten?
