Martha Stewart likes everything to be just perfect -- in fact, you might even call her a perfectionist. On 'The Tonight Show' (weeknights, 11:35PM ET on NBC), the television hostess made some Halloween treats for Jay Leno. The topic of Halloween led to a discussion of nightlife, and also of dressing up.

And so Martha dished about her dating life -- and discussed how she likes to have her pet dogs wear diamonds to dinner. Not just for the holiday, but on everyday occasions.

It turned out that Stewart was kidding about the diamonds and the dogs -- sort of. Yes, she dresses her pets in "little coats," and yes, she has them wear necklaces. But it's not as weird as it could be -- at least Stewart doesn't put real jewelry on her pets. Martha revealed to Leno that her dogs' diamonds are "fake." Well, that's a relief.

Still, if Martha wants her dogs to look that nice, you can only imagine what she must expect from a man. Jay asked Martha if she's seeing anyone, and Stewart confirmed that she had a date for Halloween. "If a guy goes out with you ... does he have to dress up?" Jay asked. "Yes... [but] I don't make anybody do anything," Martha shot back. Still, we'd imagine that Stewart is somewhat particular about the way her man dresses -- even if she doesn't make him wear imitation jewels.
