Rand Paul Addresses "Stomping" Incident at Debate (VIDEO)

by Jeremy Taylor, posted Oct 26th 2010 6:30PM
Violence struck just before Rand Paul, the Republican candidate for Kentucky's Senate seat, debated Democratic opponent Jack Conway. One of Paul's supporters tackled a protester who was trying to confront Paul as he walked to the hall. While the woman was on the ground, another of Paul's supporters placed his foot aggressively on the area around her shoulder and neck.

Paul appeared on 'America's Newsroom' (Weekdays, 9AM ET on Fox News), where he addressed the incident.

"What was your reaction that folks who were wearing Rand Paul T-shirts and hats treated a woman this way?" Martha MacCallum asked Paul.

"We want everybody to be civil, we want this campaign to be about issues," Paul responded. "When we arrived, there was enormous passion on both sides ... lights flashing, people yelling and screaming, bumping up, there was a bit of a crowd control problem ... It was an unusual situation to have so many people so passionate on both sides, jockeying back and forth. And It wasn't something I like or anybody liked."

When Rand Paul says "anybody" like that, we can only assume he is referring to the almighty Aqua Buddha.
