What Do Monkeys Love? 'Late Night' Has the Answer (VIDEO)

by Oliver Miller, posted Oct 26th 2010 5:46AM
What Do Monkeys Love? 'Late NightComedian Paul Scheer was the guest on the new 'Late Night With Jimmy Fallon' (weeknights, 12:37AM on NBC). Scheer is currently starring on 'The League' -- a comedy series about a fantasy football league. But despite the show's topic, it isn't all fun and games. And Paul had some unpleasant stories to tell about one of his co-stars ... who happened to be a monkey.

Yes, show business is so glamorous like that. You finally get your own series on basic cable, and then you're hanging out with a monkey. Correction: with a poorly trained monkey. Scheer revealed that the animal trainer couldn't do much to protect him from the angry simian. Paul also told host Jimmy Fallon about a few things that monkeys love.

One of the things was ... biting Paul's fingers. A second source of fun for the monkey was this: ripping apart a Mercedes Benz automobile. (Monkeys apparently love attacking fingers and car seats.)

But the final piece of info was actually helpful -- in case you ever find yourself on a TV show with a primate co-star. Monkeys apparently love to eat Gummi Bears, which is fairly unexpected. So if your hand is being attacked by a monkey, try distracting the animal by throwing a few candy bears its way. See? And you thought that late night television couldn't be educational.
