Conan O'Brien to NBC: Sue Me

Nothing's going to stop Conan O'Brien from bringing the beloved Masturbating Bear to his new TBS show -- not even the legal wrath of NBC.

"If there's something we did for a long time that we've established as ours, we'll figure out a way to do it. I won't be denied my Masturbating Bear," O'Brien said in a new Rolling Stone profile, due out Friday.

Conan would even be willing to get the American legal system involved in the fight. "What I really wanna do is be sued over the bear and then appear in court with the Masturbating Bear," he said. "'Your Honor, this bear can't help himself!'"

Besides the first week guest list, no actual information about the new show has been released from the Coco camp -- not even on the 24-hour behind-the-scenes Live Coco Cam, despite a plethora of dancing snack foods, restaurants, bears and zombies. Whether any of those new characters make it to 'Conan' is yet to be seen, though the first of three test shows was taped yesterday.

'Conan' sidekick Andy Richter told Entertainment Weekly yesterday that the philosophy in creating the new show was all about thinking up bits and being funny. "We're now feeling like, 'You know what, let's just have some fun. Let's just do a show now that we're not replacing anybody. We're not replacing David Letterman. We're not replacing Jay Leno. We're just startin' up a show from scratch, which we've never gotten to do before. There's no precedent. There's no shoes to fill. We just get to do what we want,'" he said.
