Grandmothers, Poop and Potatoes on 'The Amazing Race' (VIDEO)

Grandmothers, Poop and Potatoes on 'The Amazing Race'On 'The Amazing Race' (Sun., 8PM ET on CBS), the teams traveled from Norway to St. Petersburg, Russia. This was a distance of over 1,200 miles. But sometimes, it's not the journey -- it's what you have to face at the destination.

[Warning: Spoiler alert.]

In St. Petersburg, the teams faced a "Roadblock" challenge. As part of the Russian theme, contestants had to dress up as "basbushkas." This is a Russian term for "grandmother" -- and for a traditional scarf that is tied under the chin.

The male and female players had to dress up like scarf-wearing grandmas. No one was pleased with the task. As "basbushkas," each team member had to plant a row of 50 potatoes, then cover those potatoes with ... manure.

Surprisingly, Kevin was the best at covering the spuds with, um, "poop." He faced some harsh critics: The real Russian grandmothers who watched him work. Kevin did well -- and did it while wearing a baggy dress and a scarf around his chin. At first, the women yelled at him. But by the end, the grandmas were pleased, declaring that Kevin would make "a good farmhand." Which is a compliment, we guess. One of the women even said this to him: "Ya tebya lyublyu!" ("I love you!") Very nice.

Meanwhile, contestant Brook stumbled -- literally. She stepped in some of the "poop," freaked out, and panicked. Kevin did much better. So you really never can tell. Even a game involving women's clothing might not go the way you would expect.
