'The Daily Show' (weeknights, 11PM ET on COM) partnered with 'The Colbert Report' for 'Indecision 2010' on election night, offering viewers live coverage of the midterm results. Jon Stewart noted that it's standard practice for the nation's ruling party to "lose some seats" in midterm elections. However, presidential historian Michael Beschloss admitted they don't usually lose this many seats. But if history repeats itself, he had some good news for President Obama. "The three presidents in recent times who have had midterm loss like this have been Truman, Eisenhower, Bill Clinton. Every single one of them got reelected."
"So your thought is, 'What a great night for Barack Obama!'" joked Stewart.
