Joel McHale Shares Single Malt Scotch With Kathie Lee and Hoda (VIDEO)

Joel McHale, star of 'Community' and 'The Soup,' mocks Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb's on air drinking by cracking open a bottle of single malt scotch on 'Today' (weekdays, 7AM ET on NBC).

"Don't even start with that!" said Kotb, eying McHale as he prepares to open the bottle.

"What are you talking about? I'm on your show. This is the only place I can do this. You know, in the morning," McHale said.

McHale then pours Gifford and Kotb a drink each in plastic cups and swigs directly from the bottle himself. Kotb eventually asks McHale why the fourth hour of 'Today' continues to serve as such fodder for 'The Soup.'

"Have you seen your show?" asked McHale incredulously.

dale horn... yea the democrates have been in since 2007... duh! obviously i think more then you do because many problems started long before they got into office which was when? thats right, when the republicans were in charge. i have read up on my gov, try reading and comprehending what other people are writing before you assume whats being said. As for the being a parrot of the media, how is that possible when im saying the opposite? as for the "It also approves the "wars" you are probably against." i served my country through the military so dont tell me what i do and dont support.

Kathy Lee looks awful. She still thinks she is some kind of a celeb. when she never was. I'm susrprised Hoda is trying to be like KL, what a mistake. Hey kathy L.. why don't you go home and stay there. You are terrible and you look awful. do you think you look good???????? NO WAY!!!!!! AND YOU ARE NOT FUNNY EITHER, FUNNY LOOKING YES, ENTERTAINER, NO WAY AT ALL. HODA, JUST BE YOURSELF.

I'd prefer Hoda to Kathy Lee any day of the week. Oh, yea, that Hoda would throw a wild one on you -- jungle love, all the way. Kathy Lee would be terrible in bed. Just a boring nightmare. No wonder Frank drinks.

self-righteous kathy lee should invite some mothers from madd over for drinks one of these mornings. god forbid cody, cassidy or frank is ever a victim (or cause) of a dui accident. hoda and the sophomoric producers should know drinking isn't funny, even if kathy lee needs to be sloshed to have a marginal personality.

Elizabeth from the view, like so many republicans are idiots. Obama has only been in office for half of his term he is trying to fix what the republicans screwed up in the first place! It takes time to fix the damage that was done over a the last 8yrs! he has done so much already, yet how is he supposed to fix everything when nobody wants to support him?

tw........ do you EVER EVER THINK about anything? The House and Senate have been controlled by THE DEMOCRATES since Jan of 2007 until TODAY! If you knew how the gov works, you would know that Congress controls the purse strings and makes the laws. It also approves the "wars" you are probably against.

Stop being a parrot of the Left media and grow a brain, and read up on your gov.
