Jon Stewart and David Sedaris Discuss Interspecies Relationships (VIDEO)

Cult writer David Sedaris is known for his cutting comedic tales. David tells insightful stories about growing up as a gay man in North Carolina; about his career working as a Christmas elf; about the death of his mother and his very odd family. He's all about honesty leavened with humor. But for his new book, 'Squirrel Seeks Chipmunk,' Sedaris went in a different direction. Instead of slice-of-life tales involving his friends and family, David wrote a book of fiction.
The stories are a group of fables about animals -- including a squirrel and chipmunk who can't quite make it work as a couple. On the new 'Daily Show' (weeknights, 11PM ET on Comedy Central), Sedaris met with Jon Stewart, and the pair discussed the possibility of two different animals finding love.
... It was an interesting discussion. But what did it all mean? Were the guest and host really talking about animals? And if so, can two rodents work it out? Are squirrels and chipmunks too similar? ... Or are they not similar enough? Was it all a metaphor for the ongoing gay marriage debate in America? If a couple only needs a bunch of "nuts" to be happy, is that okay? So many questions. Watch the clip and decide for yourself.
