Jon Stewart Responds to Rally Criticism from MSNBC, Bill Maher (VIDEO)

Jon Stewart Responds to Rally Critics on 'Daily Show'Jon Stewart proved he can take a beating from critics -- including the Left-leaning ones. The 'Daily Show' (weeknights, 11PM ET on COM) host had a tongue-in-cheek response for those who've taken issue with his Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear: another rally.

For some background, the program played a collection of negative commentary on the rally, including Keith Olbermann's contention on MSNBC that Stewart drew a "false equivalence between what we do here and what Fox News and the like do there," and Bill Maher's suggestion that Stewart attend church to "reach across the aisle and hold hands and sing with someone on the Right."

Stewart's answer? A new "Rally to Determine Precisely the Percentage of Blame to Be Doled Out to the Left and the Right for Our Problems..." (Yes, it continues.)

Thanks Stewart....I agree there's enough blame to go around...And we need to start talking about it. I'm an independent cause both dem's and republicans are responsible for the problems this country is having. Basically we've given all our middle-class jobs away to China, India and everyone else with slave labor in the world. And if we're not making anything....we all started gambling on wall street...and built a totally consumer oriented society...and now those consumers are without jobs and can't buy anything. Did anyone think this could go on forever...credit cards instead of jobs. We'll always need a diversified economy and we don't have one anymore. We're all implicated....We wanted everything cheap....break it... don't fix it ... throw it away....filling up garbage til the end of the earth.....we're getting our come-uppance...unfortunatley...only the middle-class will suffer...welfare recepients will continue to get theirs and the ubber rich will certainly keep theirs....but the middle-class will become poor!!!

I love Stewart. Because of course the cable news people from MSNBC or Fox News and apparently Bill Mahar just don't get it. Its not about pandering to the left. Stewert is making fun of you guys just as much as he is the other guys. The Right just dismissed it as a comedy show, the Left thought it was the equivalent to the million man march for the Left. Here's the message, stop thinking of yourselves, and say something that benifits those that don't live their everyday life like its an election.
