Tonight's 'Biggest Loser' (Tue., 9PM ET on NBC), featured the show's first ever live broadcast. Trainer Bob Harper appeared outside an eliminated player's house (wearing a snazzy jacket instead of workout clothes), and said he would reveal the rejected 'Losers' live on the air.[Warning: Spoiler alert.]
The entire show couldn't be live. So we flashed back to this week's "temptation" challenge. This season has lacked clear villains -- but tonight, Patrick/Brendan/Frado outed themselves as the bad guys.
Brendan gorged on calories, winning the challenge. plus the right to chose this week's teams. Next, Brendan aligned himself with pal Patrick. He gave Frado an advantage by teaming him with Mark, who had the highest percentage of weight loss thus far.
This left Aaron and Jesse out in the cold. In the end, the other male teams voted them off. Jesse took this personally; he considered Patrick one of his closest friends. The betrayal was even more cynical than it looked. Patrick and his cronies eliminated Aaron/Jesse because they considered them a bigger threat than the female teams.
Speaking of "out in the cold," Bob Harper was still standing outside in the cold, in front of the rejected player's house. He finally opened the door for the live transformation reveal. Inside were Aaron and his wife, plus their three-old-son, who was hiding in his dad's old "fat pants." Jesse joined the group; he said he had learned the true goal of the show, which wasn't about prizes or the finale -- but about staying healthy for the rest of your life. "You got it," Bob replied.
