Denzel Washington's Wife Gets Clobbered at Son's Football Game (VIDEO)

Denzel Washington's son John David plays football for the United Football League's Sacramento Mountain Lions. The 'Late Show' (weeknights, 11:35PM ET on CBS) shared video of one of his recent touchdowns -- but it was Washington's wife's "performance" that shocked the audience.

The actor gave the play-by-play: "He scores a touchdown, but his mother ran down the field with him!" As her son reached the end zone, Pauletta got slammed by another player. "She doesn't see [number] 53 coming -- a mother's love!" said Washington.

The studio audience gasped during the slow-motion replay. But not to worry: "She jumped up faster than the guy did."
