Jay Leno Gets Bitten by a Baby Jaguar (VIDEO)
Animal trainer Dave Salmoni was the guest on the new 'Tonight Show' (weeknights, 11:35PM ET on NBC). And in the grand tradition of talk show hosts dealing with animals, host Jay Leno got into a little trouble with a baby jaguar.Jay cradled the tiny feline in his arms -- then repeatedly got bitten on the chin by the three-month-old jaguar. To be fair, Leno's face is about 60 percent chin, so it'd be hard to bite him anywhere else. ... And yes, we have just officially "zinged" Jay Leno. Take that, Mr. Talk Show Host!
Dave Salmoni is Chelsea Handler's ex-boyfriend, so the conversation moved on to that topic. "And speaking of dealing with big cats," Jay said, "how are you and Chelsea Handler doing?" Dave replied that the relationship was officially over. "Couldn't handle that predator, could you?" the host quipped.
Salmoni then tried to get back to the original topic of discussion: "Let's talk about jaguars ... I can handle jaguars." True. But then, Chelsea is really more of a "cougar," so maybe that was the whole problem in the first place. See? We just zinged Chelsea too.
Next, the animal trainer brought out a baby tiger. The tiger was a "chuffer," and "chuffing" is basically the wild feline equivalent of purring -- it's a snorting noise that means the creature intends no harm. So Jay and the two-month-old kitty "chuffed" and snorted back and forth. It looked a little silly, but we're not going to do any zinging or make any jokes about it. Why? Because baby tigers are ADORABLE, that's why.
