'Baba Booey' Hits a 'Kimmel' Audience Member in the Head With a Baseball (VIDEO)

Gary Dell'Abate is a native New Yorker, and a lifelong New York Mets fan. And Gary got the chance of a lifetime ... twice. Well -- make that three times, including his appearance on tonight's 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' (weeknights, 12AM ET on ABC).Mr. Dell'Abate -- better known as "Baba Booey" to fans of the Howard Stern radio show -- threw out a first pitch at a Mets game about four years ago, and that went just fine. So his lifelong dream was fulfilled! Maybe just stop right there, then! It's probably better not to tempt fate. Because "Baba Booey" then threw out another first pitch last year -- and it was one of the worst moments in televised baseball history.
Gary missed home plate by at least ten feet, nearly hitting an umpire who was standing on the third-base line. The pitch was so bad that he received a telephone call afterward from a sports psychologist. But tonight, Jimmy Kimmel gave Baba Booey a chance at redemption. So, how'd that go?
... Not so great. Jimmy left the stage and went into the audience in order to play a game of catch with Gary. The host crouched on the steps with a catcher's mitt. But Gary's first pitch was "Ju-uusst a little outside" (as baseball announcers say). As in, it missed Jimmy by several feet. The second one was just as bad. And his third pitch ... hit a female audience member in the head. Um, Gary? Mr. Booey? Maybe you should quit while you're ahead there, champ. Stop with the whole baseball thing -- before you kill someone, or throw a baseball through Jimmy Kimmel's studio window, or some such.
