Welcome to the Family TV Round-Up, a recap of all kid-friendly programming across the television universe. We sum up all of the news related to children's programming, as well as profile the people and shows that your kids, tweens and teens are talking about.A plethora of Disney related news this week, starting with the end of the 'Jonas' franchise on Disney Channel. After two years of 'Jonas' and 'Jonas L.A.,' the show has been canceled. In a statement the network said they were looking forward to working with the brothers on future projects.
'Jonas' ran on Disney Channel in two different forms. The first season focused on the brothers' time at their private high school on the East Coast and could be considered a broad comedy. The second season, 'Jonas L.A.,' moved the boys and their young lady friends to the West Coast for the summer. With new writers and showrunners this version took on a more down-to-earth tone as it focused on the trio's romantic relationships.
Since 'Jonas L.A.' wrapped the boys have been busy. Particularly Joe Jonas, who has appeared in episodes of 'Hot in Cleveland' and '90210.' They are finishing up a 40-city tour and are about to embark on a new album. No word what new project Disney Channel and the band will be working on.
